Battle of the Books

Fourth and fifth graders work in teams to read 20 specific books from a variety of different genres. Teams meet throughout the school year with their team manager to discuss what they have read.  In March, teams “battle” to see which group knows the most information from the 20 titles — until we get down to the final award-winning team!

Charity Fundraisers

Our Gators are giving, gracious and generous. Find out how we're giving back to our community.

Cool Science Investigations (CSI)

The goal of the Cool Science Investigations program is to enhance the positive experiences elementary students have with science learning.

Gator Glee Special Chorus

Our choir is made up of fourth and fifth graders who will perform multiple times each school year. It's a volunteer, non-audition group that meets two or three times a week before school. Our rehearsals work on independent singing, part singing, and vocal musicianship.

Math Wings

Math Wings is a competitive club that meets once a week after school. The meetings consist of intense mental math skills, problem-solving competitions, vocabulary review, and various “math” scrimmages. It is structured using the format developed by the district in preparation for three separate competitions.

Recycle Club

Club members strive to recycle as many things as possible to help the environment.

Running Club

Join the club and pursue your interest in running.

Spelling Bee

Our school bee will determine which Green Springs Gator advances to the Olathe Public Schools bee in mid-February. The winner of our district competition is eligible to compete in the national spelling bee in May.
